Essie - Lady Like (Swatch and Review)

Hi lovelies  How's your weekend? I had a lazy Sunday, sleeping, eating and reading some blog posts probably filled up most of my time ha ha ha... however, I did manage to do my nails ^_^ the weather was gloomy yesterday and today, but not this nail polish! This Lady Like is my favorite shade from Essie's Got a Brand New Bag Collection for fall 2011. A soft dusty mauve with a hint of pink cream polish, very sophisticated, elegant, and chic! Depending on the lighting, something it looks like a dusty pink with a hint mauve and sometimes it looks more mauve, but either way, it's gorgeous! This goes well with pretty much anything and everything, wonderful for everyday, office, interview, etc. It compliments my medium to light skin tone very well, very elegant looking. A beautiful dusty pinky mauve shade that doesn't make your fingers looking lifeless.

Sinful Colors - Dressed To Kill

Hell♥ another beautiful shade from Sinful Colors' "wow pop" collection. I got this Dresses To Kill together with Energetic Red (review here) last week at Rite Aid when there's a buy one get one 50% off sale. This bright fuchsia pink is so beautiful to look at and is great for spring and summer!

Sinful Colors - Energetic Red

The weather is finally getting a lot warmer these days. And besides spring pastel nail colors, I'm in love with some bright polishes! Last week I saw a new Sinful Colors display at my local Rite Aid featuring 8 rich and bright shades that's perfect for spring/summer. I picked Energetic Red and Dressed to Kill, both I felt will get the most wear out of all shades!

Energetic Red, 2 coats (+ 1 coat Seche Vite Top Coat)

Left to Right: Citrine, Dressed to Kill, Energetic Red, Outrages, Why Not, Clementine, Let's Meet, and Exotic Green.

I quickly took this display picture with my phone. Not sure how this new collection is called, let's just call it "Wow Pop Collection" XD This collection is more comic/superhero related (as shown on the display), all these shades are so bright and vibrant! I believe these are all cream polishes. I know there are a couple new superhero movies coming out, Marvel's The Avengers and The Amazing Spider-ManI know OPI will release a Spider-Man limited edition in May. If you know what comics/superhero this Sinful Colors collection is related, please let me know in the comment section!

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly, Swatches and Review

I have been using this MAC Paint Pot in the shade Painterly as my eyeshadow base for the past 2 months and love it since then! I got this together with Satin Taupe eyeshadow, and I was glad that I gave them a try! As described on MAC's website, this is a nude beige shade with a cream (no shimmer no glitters!) texture and finish, think of cream concealer. Since I don't have oily eye lids, I use this paint pot as a primer/base to 1) even out my eyelid skin tones; 2) make my eyeshadows stay put and last longer throughout the day; and 3) have better colors pay off so eyeshadows are more intensified and rich.

Sephora Flashy Liner and GIVEAWAY! (CLOSED)

(Please read til the end for a giveaway^-^) This is by far my favorite eye liner pencil ♥ I already have deep black, taupe, and now I got another shade in flashy ultra brown, a gorgeous rich chocolate shade with very fine gold, bronze shimmers. These flashy eyeliner pencils from Sephora are very creamy and rich in colors and textures, yet not too soft that require sharpening before every use. I'd say this flashy liner is between Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil (which is a bit on the hard side) and NYX  Slide On eye pencils (also very creamy, but I found them too soft and require sharpening before every use!). Sephora flashy eye pencils are just perfect! Colors are very rich in pigments, super long-lasting and waterproof (you need waterproof eye makeup remover to remove!)

Wet n Wild megalast - I Need a Refresh-Mint (218A) Swatches and Review

Hello  how's all your weekend? Mine was pretty relaxing. Today I have a very cute nail polish to share with you, and it's actually on my nails right now. It's "I Need a Refresh-Mint" from Wet n Wild megalast nail polish line! This is a very cute and lovely Tiffany & Co. signature cream aqua type of shade with a glossy finish! Very fun and bright for spring and summer, yet not neon-ly bright. So it's very wearable if you think neon colors are just too bright for you. It gives your nails a pop without looking over the top!

I Need a Refresh-Mint, 2 coats + top coat

This cream texture of this polish is just fabulous, very easy and smooth to apply! It's creamy and opaque! 2 coats will completely give you the full opacity you desired! And the consistency is pretty good as well (not too thick or thin). On MUA, people compared this to China Glaze's For Audrey. This is a great dupe with cheaper price tag. I don't own For Audrey myself, but I've seen comparison swatches and they both look very much identical!

MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow, Swatches and Review

This is my go-to everyday eyeshadow for the past 1.5 months, I'm in love! Satin Taupe is one of MAC's bestseller eyeshadow, and now I see why. It's simply described as "Taupe with silver shimmer" on MAC's website. For me, this color is more than that! First, it's neutral! It has some browns, some subtle purples, and very very fine silver shimmer that you can barely see, yet give enough glow to the eyes without any "shimmery feeling"! The color is not too light and not too dark, great pigmentation! It can be worn lightly for a day time look, or heavily for a night look! Since I love love love this shade so much, I usually like to wear it by itself all over the lids and blends out the color. With eyeliner and mascara and my eyes are complete :D

Packaging information and ingredients (click picture to view)

This is what the eyeshadow looks like after 1.5 month use :) I was so glad that I picked this one up after reading so many reviews! It looks brown here, but when applied on to the eyes, it's a gorgeous brownish taupe with a hint of purple and shimmer, very beautiful! It's not too warm or too cool tone, the cool tone super fine silver shimmer balances it so well! Very flattering ♥ As for the blendability, this is very easy to work with, with very very minimum fallout. Now on to swatches!

Cookie Monster Nail Art (Video)

I want more cookies!!! This Cookie Monster nail art was inspired by a little sesame street book I got from Target for baby black, very fun and cute! Elmo by far is her #1 favorite, and Cookie "Mom..ter" #2! When I had Elmo on my nails, every time she saw it, she'd pulled my Elmo finger (only finger with Elmo on it) to her face and talked to him...ha ha ha how cute! So I decided to paint cookie monster on my nails as well!
