Review: Origins Modern Friction

This is the best exfoliator ever! I have been using this Modern Friction 

since Origins launched this product, about 6-7 years ago! During these years

I also tried other exfoliators/face scrubs from other brands, but I always 

come back to Origins' Modern Friction! It's the best!

When this product was first introduced, it was in a jar container which I 

did not like at all. Thankfully they changed the package to a tube!  

The ingredients used in this product are very natural and gentle, 

which is great for my thin, dry and sensitive skin. Unlike other

facial scrubs that use chemical crystals/beads, Origins Modern Friction 

is very gentle as it uses very sticky rice starch which helps to remove

dead skin that cause dullness. It also has a very fresh yet gentle peppermint

smell that is very relaxing.

As most people know about Origins, their products are formulated with 

natural and certified organic ingredients and 100% natural essential oils. 

More importantly, Origins products are formulated WITHOUT parabens, 

phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin,

Key ingredients:

 Rice Starch: This ancient Japanese beauty secret 

has the power to lift skin-dulling debris.

Lemon Oil: A purifier and aromatic essential oil, it kick-starts the 

exfoliation process and provides antioxidant properties. 

Vitamin C

Aloe: Known as "nature's first aid kit," it hydrates, 

softens, soothes, and nourishes the skin. 

Peppermint: Provides cooling and relaxing effects on the skin.

How to use: 2-3 times a week, scoop onto fingertips and massage over dry, clean skin in circular motions. For sensitive skin, massage over damp skin. Add a splash of water and work into a gentle lather. Rinse well. Follow with appropriate tonic. (Origins.com)

Depends on my skin condition, normally I use this 1-2 times a week.

As this may sounds pricey, 4,2oz/125ml for $37.50, but you only need a tiny 

amount each time you use, a little goes a long way. This tube last for super 

long, 9-12 months depends on how often you use it.

Natural ingredients are great as we don't want to feed our skin with chemicals,

but what this product really sells me is it's gentleness as well as the radiant, 

luminous and brighten skin after using it! Seriously, it's that amazing. My skin

was so smooth, soft and luminous after just one use, and it did not give me 

that dry face feeling at all, love it!
