Lately I have been so obsessed with this Lancome Color Design lipstick in the shade Pale Lip. I got this in a Lancome Gift with Purchase at Nordstrom a while ago. Lancome describes this as a cream pale muted soft pink. I really love this lip color! It goes so well with pretty much everything - smokey eye or very minimal makeup! I have medium to fair (NC20~25) with yellow undertone and a lot of neutral pale/light pink lipsticks wash me off (or look dead), but definitely not this one! Pale Lip is so beautiful, and has a fabulous wear, very hydrating with the perfect amount of pigmentation!

I just can't stop wearing darker shade polishes these days! Today I wanted to show you one of my favorite autumn/winter/holiday nail shades from Zoya, Blair, a beautiful blackened red/a burgundy metallic maroon shade. It's absolutely gorgeous! The formulation was wonderful and the color was very rich and super pigmented. 1 coat will achieve a full opacity beautifully, I went for 2 coats just for photography. Love love love this shade, it compliments my skin tone beautifully. ♥♥

Today is officially the first day of Autumn! yeah! On my nails today is this gorgeous essie Carry On, a dark brownish plum cream. Beautiful vampy color that's great for Autumn/Winter.
Essie Carry On 2 coats (+ 1 top coat)
Formula was great, very easy to apply, 2 coats is all you need for a gorgeous opaque finish. Love it! What's on your nails today? ♥ ♥ ♥
Random song of the day:

I broke one of my finger nails due to some house cleanings last weekend ~_~ not fun when that happened! I didn't want to trim them all short so I reshaped them to round shape, but wan't quite happy with it... I still like my old square nail shape.
Ok, move on to Sinful Colors Slate, it's a medium tone grey with very fine shimmers. Think of concrete grey under the sunlight! I think it's a great color to wear especially for fall/winter. It's not too dark or too light and goes well with many darker fall/winter outfits. The shimmers are more obvious under the sunlight, yet in a quite subtle way.
The formulation was pretty good, not too thin or too thick. The first coat was quite sheer, but can achieve the almost-full opacity on the 2 coat. I went for 3 coats followed by Seche Vite dry fast top coat. Drying time was pretty average, but ok for 3 coats.
Would you wear it? What would you do when you break one of your nails? Do you reshape all the nails, or just wait for it to grow back?
Thanks for reading and have a great evening! ♥

Lately I found myself reaching for this NYX eyeshadow in Smokie Mountain quite often. Smokie Mountain is a deep army/olive green with a hint of brown and beautiful gold shimmers. It looks gorgeous in the pan and on the eyelids and is extremely pigmented. With an eyeshadow brush, I only need a very light tap for the areas I'd like to apply. It's great for outer V as well as an eyeliner because the color is very intense, yet not as dark and harsh like black eyeshadows.
one light sweep, very pigmented and beautiful
Swatch on bare arm (no primer used)
The texture is very smooth and creamy. However, I found it to be a tad bit "loose" so I always tap the eyeshadow using my eyeshadow brush with light hand. The only downside is the "fallout" problem. I know tap off the excess before applying usually resolve the problem, but it will at the same time shake off those beautiful gold shimmers. Sometimes I like to layer Laura Mercier Baked Eye Color in Black Karat for extra sparkles and I think these two together looks super pretty! It's also very long lasting, with MAC Paint Pot (in Painterly), this eyeshadow last me the entire day!
Would you wear it? What's your favorite NYX eyeshadow shade? ♥

Even though the weather is still in the highest of 87-91°F range (about 31-33°C), I'm so glad that this week is officially the last week of Summer! (hooray!^^) In the celebration of the last week of summer, I have a lovely yummy summer nail shade to show you today. Sinful Colors Mint Apple is a very cute and pretty cream pastel green with very fine shimmers. You can barely see the shimmers, but they are there.
The consistency was quite thick and a bit gooey, but not streaky as long as you apply it faster. 2 coats will achieve the full opacity as the pictures you see here. Pretty easy to work with and the drying time was quite standard. Mint Apple definitely falls into the minty family of China Glaze For Audrey, Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint, and Revlon Minted. It's really a nice shade!

Another "fall appropriate" nail shade today! You can probably tell from my recent nail shades that I'm so so so ready for fall, unfortunately these two days the weather here in southern California has been crazily HOT! >"< The highest was about 106°F (about 41°C) yesterday, and today will be the same as well ~_~
Speaking of Kissy, it's a blueish green jelly base packed with tiny flecks and micro shimmers. In real life, it shows more dark green than blue both in the bottle and on the nails. The formulation was ok, pretty easy to work with. The first coat was quite sheer and showed more blue, but once layered, it turned more green, darker green that's very pretty and suitable for fall. For the swatch, I applied 3 coats plus Seche Vite dry fast top coat. The consistency was quite thin and a tad bit on the running side, but still pretty easy to work with in my opinion. The only downside is that it did stain my nails, so I recommend using base coat underneath to protect your nails from staining.
What nail polish are you wearing for the weekend?

A quick EOTD post. When I am in a rush or don't feel like to think what eyeshadow to use, I always go for MAC Satin Taupe.
Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil in Natural Black
MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (base)
Sephora Flashy Liner in Taupe (eyeshadow base & lower lash line)
MAC Satin Taupe
Urban Decay Naked2 Palette (Foxy - brow bone highlight, Bootycall - inner corner)
NYX Slide On Pencil in Pure White (inner corner)
Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping waterproof mascara in Blackest Black
What is your go to everyday eyeshadow shade?
When I picked this up at the store, I didn't think much but thought it's a pretty shade for fall/winter seasons. I was very impressed when I put it on and really really loved it! Secret Admirer is a black base polish with tons of silver shimmers, a dark charcoal/gunmetal type of shade.
The formulation is fabulous! It goes on so smooth and the application is so easy to work with. Another 1-coat polish, but I went for 2 coats! It dries fairly fast with a glossy finish. Great consistency, too! It looks beautiful in the bottle and translates very well onto nails.
Overall, I am very very pleased with the quality of this polish and would definitely repurchase and highly recommend it! I must say I'm not a huge fan of black polishes in general, but this one is an exception! It's so so so so pretty and made me so happy! LOVE LOVE LOVE! ^_^

I think this is going to be one of my favorite cream nail polishes! Ruby Ruby is a beautiful, classic red that is not too light or too dark. It's bold and bright yet not too bright like neons. I can see this goes well with many different skin tones, and really, you just can't go wrong with this beautiful vintage red!
The formulation is won....derrrr...fullll!!! high-end quality! It goes on super smooth and very easy to work with. The consistency is thin, yet not too watery. It's almost 100% opaque (a.k.a. not see-through) after one coat, and two coats will achieve the full opacity as the pictures shown here. Very pigmented! It has a high shine glossy finish, but I applied another layer of Seche Vite for extra shine and protection^^
The red on my thumb in the picture above is probably the closest to the actual red in real life. My other pictures shown here are a bit lighter toward tomato-red, but it's actually slightly darker in real life, think of classic, vintage red!
I was very impressed with this nail polish! And the best part, it's only $0.99 at Walgreens! ($1.99 when not on sale) LOVE LOVE LOVE this red!
Thanks for reading and have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday evening! ♥
