Review: Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

I have been using this Clinique Moisture Surge for the
past 1.5 months since I got it (back on November haul here).
I think it's about time for a little review...

This is currently my must have morning moisturizer.
(and I use it sometimes in the evening skin care routine)
The texture of this moisture is very light weight, yet
hydrating for my dry skin. It absorbs pretty quickly
once gently massage into the face. It's a gel like moisturizer
and is fragrance free which I truly appreciate, works
wonderful for my sensitive skin.

Review: Josie Maran - Argan Oil Daily Moisturizer with SPF 40+

I finally found something to replace my Eucerin Everyday Protection Face Lotion SPF 30 that I've used for about 3 months... It's the Argan oil daily moisturizer with SPF 40 from Josie Maran. I have been using this sunscreen for a full month now and I love it!

This sunscreen has Josie Maran's signature ingredient, Argan Oil. Argan oil is produced from the argan tree in the semi deserts of Morocco. This oil is rich in vitamin E & essential fatty acids, which have anti-aging properties. This organic ingredients is known to help and prevent dehydration, inflammation, hyper pigmentation, and sebum production (sephora.com). So when I got this, I was really excited and hope it can help my dry and hyper pigmentation issues.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief + Gift with Purchase

Finally got my Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
from Nordstrom! I was planning to purchase this during Sephora's
Friends & Family sale event, but they were all sold out!!!

Luckily, Clinique in Nordstrom has the Gift with Purchase (GWP) event!!

These gifts are free with $25 purchase
(through November 20th - per e-mail I received)

Gifts include:
1. Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser
2. Even Better Skin Tone Correcting Moisturizer SPF 20
3. Different Lipstick in Raspberry Glace
4. High Impact Mascara in Black
5. Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio
6. Quickliner for Eyes in Black Brown
7. Tracy Reese for Clinique Cosmetics Bag Set

During this time of the year my sensitive and dry skin gets even drier and
I wanted to use something underneath my Origins VitaZing to help hydrating
my skin without the greasy felling and to help my makeup stay better...
my sister also has dry skin and she recommended this to me during
her last visit so I thought I'd give it a try^^

this product claims it can comforts skin instantly, and can be applied over makeup
for a midday boost. For very dry skin type, it can be used before applying
"moisturizer", even though this is categorized under moisturizer, it's oil-free
and the texture is very lightweight like gel, a little bit firmer than serum.
It's also for all skin type. for oil skin type this might be great because it's so light
and oil-free, but for dry or dry/combination skin type, another layer of moisturizer
would be needed for better result. It plumps the look of dry lines. And helps keep
out environmental irritants. can also be used as a 5-minutes surge mask.

I can't say much about the review as I just start using this product,
but I can already tell I love it because of its lightweight and hydrating formulation!
I will continue to use it and see if it can improve my dry skin condition.

Now move on to the gifts I received from my purchase...

first up is the Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser (30ml)
I currently have this in full size (5 oz/150 ml)
It's a pretty nice, fragrance free mousee-like cleanser

I have never heard of or used this moisturizer,
hopefully it's something useful^^

Smith's Rosebud Salve (in a Tube) Swatch and Review

Today I'm reviewing a great lip balm from Rosebud Perfume Co.
It is Smith's Rosebud Salve (and Rosebud Salve in a Tube)
This lip balm have received all the hype, it's like something
everyone have to have in their bags. Is it really worth all the
hype? the answer is yes! It works like magic!

From the product description/detail, it said this rosebud slave
has multi-purpose uses. It can be used to sooth dry lips and skin,
diaper rash, blemishes, rough cuticles, and may soften rough hands.
It can also calm and heal irritation, and soothe the sting of minor burns.
It can also be used on dry elbows or knees to condition, and relieve dryness.

So far I only use this on my lips and cuticles, and mainly on my lips. ha ha
It's really moisturizing and super long-lasting, perfect for the cold winter seasons!
I like to apply this before bed, and wake up with a soft, supple and moisturizing lips.

the texture is thick (so doesn't evaporate as fast) and smooth with a glossy finish
it has a sticky feeling when first applying it, but your body temperature will "melt"
the lip balm within a minute or so and it will leave you a glossy, non-sticky finish!
It's rose smell is very very light, you can barely smell it which is great for
people who's sensitive to scents, etc. (great for men too)

One downside: this lip balm is petrolatum/petroleum based so it's not that great.
but it's moisturizing power is very very good!
(Ingredients: Cotton Seed Oil and Aromol, with essential oils blended
in a special petrolatum base.)

Review: Origins Modern Friction

This is the best exfoliator ever! I have been using this Modern Friction
since Origins launched this product, about 6-7 years ago! During these years
I also tried other exfoliators/face scrubs from other brands, but I always
come back to Origins' Modern Friction! It's the best!

Today I'd like to share my new favorite facial cleanser/makeup remover. It is the Neutrogena® Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover The main reason I picked this one up was because of the packaging as well as the product descriptions on the bottle. I thought it might work on my sensitive skin because of its natural ingredients.
