Today I'm reviewing a great lip balm from Rosebud Perfume Co.
It is Smith's Rosebud Salve (and Rosebud Salve in a Tube)
This lip balm have received all the hype, it's like something
everyone have to have in their bags. Is it really worth all the
hype? the answer is yes! It works like magic!
From the product description/detail, it said this rosebud slave
has multi-purpose uses. It can be used to sooth dry lips and skin,
diaper rash, blemishes, rough cuticles, and may soften rough hands.
It can also calm and heal irritation, and soothe the sting of minor burns.
It can also be used on dry elbows or knees to condition, and relieve dryness.
So far I only use this on my lips and cuticles, and mainly on my lips. ha ha
It's really moisturizing and super long-lasting, perfect for the cold winter seasons!
I like to apply this before bed, and wake up with a soft, supple and moisturizing lips.
the texture is thick (so doesn't evaporate as fast) and smooth with a glossy finish
it has a sticky feeling when first applying it, but your body temperature will "melt"
the lip balm within a minute or so and it will leave you a glossy, non-sticky finish!
It's rose smell is very very light, you can barely smell it which is great for
people who's sensitive to scents, etc. (great for men too)
One downside: this lip balm is petrolatum/petroleum based so it's not that great.
but it's moisturizing power is very very good!
(Ingredients: Cotton Seed Oil and Aromol, with essential oils blended
in a special petrolatum base.)

I think this is my 2nd or 3rd tin...
run out of my last tin not long ago
Rosebud Slave tin closed look, very old fashion and cute.
Some people find it difficult to open, but for me it's fine as
long as you keep your hands/fingers dry when open, it's
very easy to twist and pull...
back of Rosebud Slave tin
This lip balm has a light rose tint, but it's very very subtle, meaning
you can't really see the color once applied to the lips... see swatches below!
It's even lighter when you dig a little of the lip balm on the cotton swab
(this is also a great way to apply this lip balm without using germy fingers!)

on the skin, you can't really see the light rose tint, it's almost clear!
so don't expect this lip balm to tint the lips, it's almost clear
especially on the lips.
This Rosebud Slave lip balm also comes in a tube version, great for on-the-go
with easier and "sanitary" application. Same price ($6) same content except quantities.
Rosebud Slave in a tube has less amount than the original tin version.
Tube: 0.5 oz (14.2g), Original tin: 0.8 (22g) but with the tube version,
you get a easier/convenient application...
