Pumpkin Nail Art (Short Nails) { Halloween }

So early this week I broke my index finger nail ((◕︵◕)), almost 1/3 way through my nail line. I had to cut it shorter before it gets worse, ie: tear into my nail bed. I thought I'll just trim all nails shorter. I felt great to have shorter nails because it's easier to do things, thought longer nails make feel I have longer looking finers...hahaha... Anyways, today's post is about a pumpkin nail art I did this week in preparation for halloween. Hope you like it. ^_^

Cute and Easy Apple Nails (Back to School) {How to}

Since Back to School season is here, I thought I'd do a easy Back to School Apple Nails. It's super easy to create and looks cute on the nails!

Here's how:
1. Apple base coat. Then use your red polish brush to draw an apple. It's like drawing a heart shape. (don't worry if they are not symmetrical)
2. Use a dotting tool dipped into brown polish, and draw a stem.
3. similar to step 2, use green polish to create a leave.
4. This step is optional, if you'd like to add a little bit of shine to your apples, simply use a smaller dotting tool dipped into white polish and draw an exclamation mark. Apply top coat and finished!

Easy French Glitter Gradient Nails (No Tools Required!!) {How To}

Hello all! Long time no post. I felt it's been ages since my last nail art post. Today I wanted to show you an easy french glitter gradient nail art. No professional nail art tools required, all you need are nail polishes.

so let's get started!

1. apply base coat
2. create silver french tip
3. take your glitter polish, and wipe off the excess. apply from the tip of your nail toward the cuticle . then slowly layer on more glitter polish at the tip.
4. apply topcoat.

This manicure was so easy to create, I really enjoyed wearing them on the nails. They look so simple, clean and polished. Very girly and feminine. This manicure is also great for prom, bridal, party, night or special occasions. It's just very versatile!

essie Glamour Purse, 2 coats

Application was a breeze. It's smooth and easy to work with. With 2 thin coats, you will have this gorgeous and opaque finish. It's neutral, yet sophisticated and elegant, definitely not boring at all.

butter LONDON Come To Bed Red is such a beautiful and classic red. It's not too dark or too light or too bright, just perfect! I think it's a great year-round type of red. If you love red polishes, this is definitely a must have!

butter LONDON Come To Bed Red, 2 Coats

Wet n Wild FastDry Nail Color in Hannah Pinktana

Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana 2 coats (over 1 coat of essence No More Drama)

This is my Monday manicure, and I super super super love it! Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana is a beautiful multi-color micro shimmer in a soft pinkish purple base. These sparkles look almost like holographic in real life, very very pretty. I layered it over 1 thin coat of essence No More Drama - a pastel lavender shade as Hannah Pinktana is pretty sheer by its own.

essence - 27 No More Drama 1 coat

Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana 2 coats (over 1 coat of essence No More Drama)

The consistency of  Wet n Wild Hannah Pinktana was ok, a bit more on the thin end. And it's quite easy to work with, no streaking and dries fairly quickly. When indoor, silver micro-shimmers seem to dominate more (though you can still see other shimmering colors), but under the sunlight, oh my goodness, those shimmers shift like rainbow, so so so pretty!!!

What's on your nail today? Have you ever tried any polishes from Wet n Wild FastDry line? What's your favorite?

Essie Power Clutch

Happy Friday ♥ It's almost weekend, what are you guys planning to do? Halloween shopping maybe? Today I have a very pretty nail shade to share with you. It's Essie Power Clutch, a very sophisticated and edgy dark gray with a greenish undertone creme. Since the weather is finally getting cooler, I think it's just perfect for autumn/winter!

The formulation was fabulous, a bit sheer on the first coat, but opaque in 2 coat with a glossy finish. It's very smooth to apply and work with. Love it!

Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

butter London Yummy Mummy

This is my second time wearing this polish and I have to say I really love it! butter London Yummy Mummy is a beautiful light to medium soft taupe with very subtle shimmers. It's a very pretty neutral nude shade, definitely not boring, yet very sophisticated and elegant. On butter London's website, it was described as a 'magic' lacquer, a medium beige nail lacquer that is simply stunning on every skin colour.

While I was deciding between Yummy Mummy and All Hail the Queen, my mind was set for Yummy Mummy as soon as I swatched the testers on my nails. I also love All Hail the Queen, but it just didn't look right on my Asian skin tone (medium to fair but on the fair side with yellow undertone). All Hail the Queen made my skin look dirty and not flattering, but Yummy Mummy. Plus, I really like the name Yummy Mummy, so cute!

As for the formulation, I'd say the consistency was a tad bit thicker to my liking. Also, it didn't "self-level" that much, so it's better to work fast with this particular nail lacquer. Pigmentation was pretty good, a bit sheer on the first coat, but opaque in second and the drying time was quite pleasant. Aside from the expensive price tag ($14.00, though I got it during ULTA's Buy One Get One FREE sale), I was very pleased with the overall quality of Yummy Mummy.

What do you think of this shade? Would you wear it? Did you get any butter London nail lacquer during ULTA's sale event? Comment below, I'd love to know. Thank you for checking it out. Have a wonderful Thursday evening.

Wet n Wild Pick Your Poison Collection: Toxic Apple

So this week CVS is having Buy One Get One FREE sale on Wet n Wild products. While I was browsing all the displays, Wet n Wild's new Pick Your Poison Collection display jumped out at me, and I picked up 2 polishes that I thought would look pretty on the nails during this time of the year.

Toxic Apple is a dark purple with shimmers jewel-toned shade. It looks pretty in the bottle, sadly the shimmers didn't transfer that well onto the nails as I'd hoped. On nails, it showed more dark navy than purple, and without direct sunlight, you can barely see the shimmers. Pigmentation and drying time were great, opaque in 2 coats. However, the formulation was more on the goopy side, and the brush was gigantic!

Picture above was taken under direct sunlight. I really love the purple/navy/magenta shimmers, they're really pretty to look at under the sunlight, but just didn't show much when indoor...which was a disappointment ~_~

What do you think about this shade? Did you pick up any polishes from this collection? Thanks for checking!
